Interactive Map

This map shows a couple of places I have recorded as pedestrian problem locations. The map is open for anyone to use. See if you can post a location on here, and let me know how it goes.

  1. I have decided to turn-off tne open editing of this map. If you'd really like to participate in building this map, let me know and I will make you a collaborator.

I am discovering just how poorly equiped Silver Spring is for pedestrians. A couple of years ago, Prevention Magazine named Silver Spring one of the best places for walking in the US. HA. How can that be so, when most of the streets here don't have sidewalks?

I also find it ironic to see all of the Purple Line, Greener Future Signs in yards that have no sidewalks - ON EITHER SIDE of the street. How are we supposed to get to the Purple Line - DRIVE??? Before you go spending almost $2 B-B-Billion on the Purple Line, how about spending a tiny fraction on sidewalks we can all use to get there"

  2. I am finding Google Maps unreliable for doing thingd like marking street segments. For some reason, the lines I draw won't stay there. When I go back, the lines are gone. Sometimes they pop-up again. They remain on the list, but you can't see them on the map. I can't proceed with lines, but the place-marks still work. I would appreciate any suggestions.
